Well our 2015 is coming in just as busy as our 2014 went out! Phew, no rest for the weary! It's hard to remember where I left off updating everyone on the kids. Well for at least the past month Chan has been talking up a storm and in sentences. He is great at repeating what you say and makes it a point to get out every last syllable even if it takes him so much longer. He's also learning his manners well like please, thank you and sorry (that's for when he gets physical with Mimi). All of his teeth are through the gums but he still says "owww" and points to his mouth at times. Poor guy! And for the most part he sleeps through the night but that comes and goes. He definitely rises early and calls for Allen. And as long as Allen just comes in his room and lays on the futon bed next to his crib then Chan will lie back down. He doesn't always fall back asleep but he's quiet while the rest of us sleep :)

Esme has been bugging us recently to let Chan move into her room and make his room a playroom. We haven't taken the plunge yet but we're considering it. It'd be nice to contain the toys a little more :) For awhile she was having a hard time saying goodybe in the morning when Allen drops her at school but all of a sudden that stopped. We think it may have been the star chart but who knows. She's doing great with her letter and number recognition and is getting better and better at writing her name. She's doing well in gymnastics and looks forward to it twice a week. The other highlight of her week is family dinner at Nana's. Anything with her cousins is always better :)

Movie night with all but the Waimea cousins
Last weekend we spent a night at the Hilton Waikoloa for cousin Capri and Tosh's birthdays. When we left Esme asked if we could stay there everyday cause she had so much fun. Chan also had his longest nap ever in our hotel room so it was pretty nice for all of us! Ha ha! We got an amazing room with views of 3 of the mountains on our island, one of which was dusted with snow. We didn't mind when Chan woke us all up early the next day because the sunrise was spectacular! And it gave us more time to enjoy the hotel. Chan got to watch the dolphins do their morning routine and even get their teeth brushed. Afterwards he kept puffing like they do out of their spout in the water.

She preferred it in her hands better :)
Unfortunately Chan got sick on the way home from Kona. The first time he threw up all over Saddle Road, multiple times. We all ended up out of our seats and sitting together in the front. As you can see below, no one was happy. Esme had a lot of sympathy tears for Chan that afternoon. We attempted to get back in the car and thought we were doing good until we started to head down the mountain road and Chan started puking again. This time we weren't able to get it all ourside :( Thankfully he'll be able to turn his carseat forward soon and hopefully this won't happen again. It made our already long drive even longer!
Then not long after we got back from celebrating in Kona, we had another celebration at our house for Grandpa Budd's birthday. So many January birthday!
