Little Lego Girl

Esme's favorite toy these days are the big Lego's (for little hands) she got for Christmas.  She loves building towers and houses the most.  We thought these might make her more interested in her Mega Blocks but she definitely prefers her Duplo Lego's over anything else.  We ordered another set so she can build more and she was very excited about that.  Here's a pic of her and daddy wearing the Lego boxes on their heads.

Esme ended up getting a pretty good cold last week, enough to even keep her out of school.  Luckily school was closed on Monday for MLK Day, then Tuesday she's usually off with me, but on Wednesday she still wasn't 100% so Allen took a sick day to stay home and help her get a little better.  By Thursday she was more than ready to get back to school.  Ms Faye said they missed her so much.  Apparently she's talking up a storm over there too - "Mimi this" and "Mimi that" all the time.  They said she loves to go outside even in the cold weather and when she sits on the potty she loves to sing a song to everyone.

Her appetite was down last week but she was good about staying hydrated.  Now she seems to be turning the corner and her new favorite foods are honey roasted peanuts and red bell peppers.  Not together of course but she always amazes us with what she tries and likes.  Her sleep was also off and it's slowly working back to normal.  She would get up in the middle of the night for no reason and be wide awake.  I thought it was because she was hungry but she wasn't all that interested in food.  Made for some long nights for Allen and I :)

I'm 26 weeks pregnant now and everything is still going smoothly.  I passed my glucose test last weekend and will have my next check up at 29 weeks.  Normally I'd go at 28 weeks but Esme and I will be in Hawaii then.  She's excited to see all her cousins again and for some warm weather.  I've been collecting all kinds of distractions for the plane ride and layover in Oahu so she doesn't go stir crazy being confined for so long.
